Early Land Holdings in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. This series takes original Surveys from the Pennsylvania Archives and overlays them as a connected tract map on USGS topographic maps. The Everett West, Clearville, and Rainsburg USGS quadrangles are fully mapped; portions of the Bedford, Buffalo Mills, Beans Cove, Everett East, Martinsburg, New Enterprise, and Roaring Springs quadrangles are mapped. A county-wide database contains the names of warantees, patentees, neighbors, and all individuals named on the tract surveys. Information is added as tracts are mapped. The database presently contains information from over 1100 warrants and the associated surveys. A sample from the mapping of Snake Spring Township (north of the Raystown Branch) is found on the Connected Tract Map page.
